Magic Valley

 

The Maggia Valley is one of the two famous valleys where you can experience beautiful nature and interesting architecture. One of the many highlights is the Maggia gorge at the start of the valley, with its beautiful rock formations. There are some lovely villages along the road up into the valley and the area gets more and more beautiful the further in you drive. At Bignasco, the road splits. To the right and at the very end of the valley is Mogno where there is a very special little church that was built by a famous Swiss architect - Mario Botta.
